Photography is the art of making memories tangible. -Destin Sparks It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera…they are made with the eye, heart, and head. -Henri Carier-Bresson Ocean Shores, WA is my home. I am a transplant from Bellingham, WA, Oregon, California, and Wisconsin. After my husband and I retired from the Bellingham Fire Department, we traveled for 15 years in our RV and volunteered along the way. Prior to that we lived on a sailboat in Bellingham Squalicum Harbor for 8 years. These travels and experiences provided countless opportunities to pursue my hobby of photography. I emphasize hobby because I am self-taught. I have experimented with different photographic and editing techniques over a lifetime of change in technology. The sights from the Northwest, Southwest and Northeast inspire my work. The subjects range from diverse landscapes, cultures, and wildlife from the beaches of the Pacific Coast to New York’s Niagara Falls. Photography allows the beauty of the natural world to speak for itself. I continue to pursue my passion for preserving images in beautiful Ocean Shores, WA. I am thankful for the opportunity to share my journey.
